Happy New Year
Hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve.  We were sailing off the coast past a place called Egg Island at 12.  We could see fire works for some time. Obviously too much for personal pleasure so must have been a town display. Too far away to hear anything but pretty to watch on a cloudless night.

The clouds came in and the cross waves built and we had winds shifting back and forth mainly behind us. We power sailed but the waves were jerking us side to side pretty badly. Was not a fun night. Cabinet doors opened contents flew out, moving about was a challenge. Managed to fix a salad & chili but some got away from me.

Our dinghy on the stern suffered an injury. One tube has a hole or two can't see why the other one is flat. When we can we will try to inspect it further. Hope it can be salvaged since we have hardly used it. Mark can't get his outboard for  his dinghy to work, our dinghy is caput so together we have one functioning dinghy & outboard.

Last night was not fun. But this morning we are at anchor in a calm spot at Cumberland Island Nat'l Sea Shore. The sky is clearing and it's feeling warm inside our enclosed cockpit. Things definitely looking up. We plan to be here two days.

Poor Lee was up most of the night because the sea was so rough I couldn't handle it. He has had his shower, coffee & breakfast so should be nap time for him. Hopefully when we move on everyone is rested and ready to go further south.
