Sisters Creek Anchorage

Sunday, 01/04/15
Sisters Creek, FL
N30 23.13  W81 27.357

Today started on an up beat note We blew up the lame dinghy and hoisted it up and and tied it on the swim platform. But unlike yesterday it did not immediately start  to deflate.  It lost a little air during the day but did much better holding air today.  It was partly sunny and warm so I got to put shorts on again. Probably reached high 70s.  About 4;30 we had a very heavy rain which lasted about 45 minutes.

We left Fernandina FL and headed down the water way. One of the bridges was a squeaker at high tide for the Handleys boat but they made it.  There were some pretty shallow places but typical of the ICW. We anchored in a wide place in the ICW called Sisters Creek.

Shortly after anchoring Mark rowed over and the outboard tinkering continued. Again there was conversation with the manufacturer. But nothing was solved. We hope to get an early start tomorrow and get to St Augustine and get both the outboards fixed there. How we will get them to a repair shop or even to shore has not been revealed to me.  Hopefully the motor & dinghy problems will be over in a day or two.

At least the water way was not beating us up like we were getting off shore.
Stay tuned for the next episode of crazier than mad hatters,
