West Palm Beach, FL
Mark was due to meet his new temporary Dr. so we all went ashore for breakfast at a bar just across the water from the boat. The food was good and plentiful. I had 1/4 0f mine for breakfast, another 1/4 for midafternoon lunch, and Lee had the last 2/4 for his dinner. I was still full from late lunch so my dinner was 2 cookies and a glass of milk Not often one meal feeds 2 people for a day. Handleys went off to do the dr thing and spend the remainder of the day with Sue & Brad. We went to the information place to see what more we could find out about since our stay here is an extended one. We picked up a few flyers etc. and came back to the boat.
Our batteries were low so we ran the motor and hunted for somewhere to put the heavy sleeping bags, extra blankets, winter clothes we hope not to need again for a while. Space and water, the two most precious commodities on a boat.We finally came up with a space we hope will be safe but which is very inconvenient to get to for the winter stuff. Next we need to find a spot to store the propane heaters.
The rest of the day we sat on deck and read and enjoyed the view. Rough life, cruising. We still have to solve our where to find dock space problem, but that is on hold til we talk to Handleys again tomorrow.
