Las Olas Marina
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
We departed Lake Worth Inlet near West Palm Beach at 7 am this morning. Once out in the ocean we encountered our constant companion, North Wind. We seem destined to have the wind right on our stern. It was a sunny day and not bad seas so we put out some sail turned on the motor and motor sailed most of the day. We came into the marina about 3;30 and squeezed into a too small slip. The finger dock didn't even go half way back the boat. We had to put fendesr out to keep from bumping our neighbor as he was also in a too narrow, too short slip. This is a pretty noisy location. bridge noise traffic noise etc. We do have electric and water which is why we are here in the first place. They have a nice enough laundry facility and you can park a car if you have one. Tomorrow starts the work. Solar cells and water tank clean out.
Handleys are in Lake Sylvia about a mile away on the hook. That is about it. Uneventful day.
