St. Augustine to Daytona Beach
The day began early at 7;30am launch from our mooring ball. We went from a bit chilly to comfortable to down right warm in the space of 90 minutes in the enclosed cockpit. We opened a few panels and it was "Goldilocks" just right.
We made plans to drop our dinghy motor at Halifax Harbor in Daytona around 4 and have it taken to Rockledge for repairs. Phoned California to get parts overnighted to the repair shop. Plans are to pick up a repaired motor Wed evening or Thur morning. The 4 oclock thing didn't happen until almost 6pm. At 5;45 we left the marina and the motor and hope someone finally came to get it, We could not wait longer or we would be anchoring in the dark.
The day was mostly sunny with scattered clouds and scenery similar to home. Lots of marsh and shallows to cause trouble. One thing I have learned in spades. Trying to get something fixed or parts not already on board is no easy task. Think my kayak would be easier to take, less effort over all and more enjoyable than the dinghy. Tired and hungry.
