Christmas Party

12/13/14
Little River, SC

Today I cleaned on the boat and tried to put it back together.  When you are working on the boat, things get piled and scattered.  Trash gets spread around.  I also had several wires that we had run for the inverter and wind generator that needed to be wire tied to keep the wire runs neat.  Got things tidied some and cleaned up the trash.

The dinghy had been on the dock for several days getting cleaned.  I applied the UV protectant and Mark helped me put it back in  the water.  After that we moved Sea Turtle back to her home slip.

We want to start the trip with full propane tanks so we took three tanks to get them topped off. When we got there the place was on winter hours which means they were closed on Saturday.  I'll get the tanks filled while Handleys are in Puerto Rico and have them ready when they get back.

This evening was the North Strand Sail and Power Squadron annual Christmas Party.  Everyone brings something good to eat, particularly the desserts.  After the meal there is music and dancing.  We, the Handleys and Kaufmans, were talking to David Canty and Kim Leverich about sailing experiences and locations.  All of us being old as it were, the background noise was making hearing difficult so we adjourned to our condo.  We all sat around and swapped stories about sailing, chartering and the islands. Good company.  Good evening.
