Finally

Saturday, 12/27/14
Little river, SC

Finally, the boat is ready to go I think.  We finished installing the stern light and, as usual, it didn't work.  Checked it with a voltmeter and there was power there.  We looked closely at the bulb and it was blown.  Another trip to West Marine.  Thirty two dollars later we had a new LED bulb that meets the Coast Guard requirement to be visible at 2 miles.

Lynda brought more provisions to the boat and we returned the meat that we had taken out of the freezer earlier.  The afternoon was devoted to stowing stuff.  We got about half of it put someplace.  The rest will wait until tomorrow.

Our friend Terri was out of town visiting her son for Christmas.  She had boarded the pups, Izzy and Daisy, at a local kennel.  She wasn't going to be back by 5 pm (the required pickup time on a weekend) so we picked them up for her.  We took them to her house, had them potty, had some quality play time then put them in their cages.  Terri got home an hour or so later and her pups were excited to see her.

Mark and Judy finally got on a plane from Ft. Lauderdale to Myrtle Beach.  The plane got in about 9:30 and I picked them up.  They had the opportunity to see the place where we are planning to dock for a couple of weeks.

We have two more days to try to get our act together before our intended cast off date of December 30.  Don't know if we will manage it or not.  Wish us luck.
